Guys this is really important.

CBS just posted an article saying that 20 states have petitioned to secede from the American union now that Obama is president again. This means, that if they reach 25,000 signatures in 30 days, the petition can be reviewed by the government administration.

The states that have petitioned to secede are as the following: Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas.

Texas already has over 22,000 signatures and if they have enough support they could very well be removed from the United States.

This is very important guys, please signal boost this, tell your parents. This effects the entire country and everyone needs to know.

this is so fucking stupid

fuCKIGN TEXAS

are you kidding me

why

This is not the states petitioning, this is “malcontents” from the states—which is a polite way of saying a bunch of raving loonies. Even if the petition is reviewed by the White House, it will be in the same bag with all the other internet petitions which have gotten the required number of signatures in time; that is, such serious, real-world issues as “does the White House have contact with extra terrestrials”.

That Texan petition has gotten about 22000 people to support it, or, in more meaningful numbers, approximately 0.0009% of the state population. You know what that means? Absolutely nothing. Stop acting like a bunch of ninnies and calm down until something actually happens.

To the OP: no, this is not “really important”, and you are an idiot.

lol the only significance 25k signatures has is the White House will dignify the petition with a response instead of completely ignore them, they’ll basically get a pat on the head and be told to believe in america the end

That’s a bit blunter than I was putting it, but yes. Although stupid, this isn’t really anything anyone needs to be worried about. It’s a bunch of really angry assholes, and probably some jokers who think it’s hilarious.

The union ain’t breaking up anytime soon.
