I am getting really fucking sick of all the “humans are evil, animals are pure-hearted and good” messages I’ve been getting since I posted the link to that guy’s youtube page.

Okay guys, every living thing on earth is trying to get what it can with the resources it has. The smarter an animal is the more potential to be really horrible or really wonderful it has. As much as people have the capacity to do some terrible things we’ve also pretty much cemented our place as the most altruistic creature out there. For every photo you see of a dog cuddled up with a lamb with a million “PEOPLE SUCK” comments there’s a UN squad digging wells for people in war torn countries without drinking water, or some group of concerned citizens volunteering time to help mentally or physically disabled people, or a random person plucking snails off the sidewalk in the rain and moving them out of harm’s way. Remember that humans are the only ones organizing themselves en masse to help completely unrelated creatures like that.
